About Me
My name is Elijah Rashad Reed and I am a working actor. I was bitten by the acting bug at a very early age, and had a manager, and an agent at 5 years old.
Things didn’t kick off for me, so, after several attempts I lost interest. By middle school, I had switched my focus to competitive basketball and pretty much given up acting altogether until my mom enrolled me in a performance academy at Cal State LA and re-lit the flame.
Since then, I’ve dedicated myself to the necessary training and study needed to hone my skills to a high level maintaining a rigorous training regime to continually sharpen my tools.
After fully committing myself to acting 6 years ago, I’ve worked hard to expand myself both as an artist, and a young man.
My training was under the tutelage of Margie Haber, Joshua Bitton, Gregory Berg, The Identity School of Acting, Desean Terry, and more.
Since dedicating myself to the training and study needed to hone my skills to a high level, I’ve been blessed with a variety of projects, ranging from award winning short films, several stage plays, network television appearances, commercials and feature films.
My goals are to continue creating quality product both in front of the camera and behind it through In The Reeds Productions and to share my gifts with the world.
Recent Accomplishments
My most recent accomplishments include: Zane in Magic Carpet Rides on HULU starring Matthew Law, Deric on HBO MAX Doom Patrol Season 4, Winning Time on HBO, My Dead Dad HBO, and Darnell in the BET+ feature film Holiday Hideaway, starring Camille Winbush and Novi Brown.
My short film lead roles include: Nathan Xia’s Ayo Checkup, Prison or Passion by Scotty Felix, UPLOAD directed by AJ Lovelace, and Cole Swanson’s HBO Max nominated short film, “BABY” with Vanessa Bell Calloway.
Stage Work
“Shane” in Paris Crayton III’s “Brothers of Affliction,” Cory in Matthew Law’s TRUE: Immersive Cinematic Experience, Trayvon in LaDarrion Williams‘ play UMOJA, and co-starring in the 2021 virtual run of the Pulitzer Prize-winning play,“Sweat.”

Training
Currently, I’m continuing my studies with noted acting coach Desean K. Terry and The Last Acting Studio in los Angeles, Calif., and Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB).
